Absolutely. IntelliAuto uses SQLCipher end-to-end encryption for all local data including VINs, maintenance records, images, and purchase URLs. The app is designed with offline-first architecture — your core data lives on your device. AI document scanning uses Google ML Kit for on-device text extraction, then sends only sanitized technical data (PII like VINs and license plates are redacted) to Firebase Functions for AI processing. Analytics and crash reporting are opt-in only and disabled by default.

Core features work offline: vehicle tracking, maintenance logging, expense records, reminders, and PDF reports all function without internet using the local SQLCipher-encrypted Room database. However, AutoMind AI chat requires an internet connection as it processes requests through Firebase Cloud Functions. Cloud sync and backup also require connectivity.

IntelliAuto uses Google ML Kit OCR for on-device text extraction from your vehicle's technical sheet (ficha técnica), maintenance invoices, and purchase receipts. The extracted text is sanitized — personal data like VINs, names, and license plates are automatically redacted — then sent to Firebase Functions for AI parsing. Rate limits apply: 2 scans per day for vehicle documents across all users, tier-based limits for receipts (Free=2, Premium=6, Pro=20).

IntelliAuto requires Android 10 (API level 29) or later. The app is optimized for modern Android devices and supports biometric authentication (fingerprint or face unlock) for secure login.
